Children Who May Attend:

Tyler Day Nursery is open to every child, regardless of race, religious beliefs or ethnic origin. The nursery welcomes children form 6 weeks to 5 years of age.

Tyler Day Nursery provides quality child-care and preschool education for children of low-income and poverty level families in a healthy, safe and loving environment.

Purpose:

Tyler Day Nursery was opened as a project of the Tyler Council of Church Women in 1936. TDN’s purpose was, and still is, caring for the children of low-income and poverty level families who need quality child-care and preschool education during the time that the parent or parents are at work or in school. We are dedicated to the physical, mental and social development of the child enrolled in our facility.

We believe in providing a safe and nurturing environment in which children canlearn.Children from families whose income is insufficient to make proper provision forthe needs of their children will receive quality day care as defined by-Small group size-Low child/teacher ratio-Appropriate staff wage-Age appropriate curriculum-Trained Staff-Parental Involvement
